When the power button is pushed, light blinks 7 times slowly, then when changes to 7 fast blinks. Picture never comes on no matter how many times the power button is pushed.

Sounds like either the CCFL tube (like a mini florescent tube) or the inverter that powers it has blown.

Sound but no picture

Dear Reece,

It seems that you have a problem with the power supply circuit that powers the video part of your projection TV or the power drivers for the three color (RGB) tubes. You will need to have it repaired by a service technician.

Hope it helps!

My ixus210 dosenot power on

Possible that the power has failed. you need to check the voltage on the power to the printer mother board as this could have failed if not the fuse.

Picture went out and red light on the front by power button is blinking. When I turn TV on I can hear sound but no picture,, then TV turns off automatically after a few seconds.

Hi,
It seems problem with low screen voltage to three picture tubes in this rear projection tv.
If standby light blinks 5 times after three seconds long pause then adjust screen volts of each picture tube to solve this issue.
Screen volt adjustment requires expertise and job of professional so please call local tv repairman to help you.
Thanks.

My tv seems to have a "white fog" to the picture and it doesnt seem "crisp" it almost seems like the colours arent right also it seems muted

It sounds like the coolant to one or more of the picture tubes has become discolored - this can be determined by removing the chassis and viewing the tubes directly (when the TV is on) - Get an estimate

Blinking timer light, No picture or sound.

Ur high voltage is dead, the FBT,the flyback transformer, the big black block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to the CRT(tv tube). That is dead.

Is this fixable??

Unfortunately, this sounds familiar. Many of these sony projections had bad crt's.(picture tubes). Now here is a secret I learned along the way. The short in the picture tubes is in the filament, causing that color to overpower all others and sometimes causing pix to disappear until set is shut off and back on. If you are very careful and use an insulated screwdriver, you can sometimes tap on neck of picture tube and knock debris from filament causing extended tube life. This is dangerous and must be performed with set turned on. From front of set gently tap on neck of tube(s) in question using insulated handle of screwdriver to make contact with picture tube neck. Picture will probably flash whichever color tube is contacted. Eventually, if picture stops flashing that color as much, you can sometimes get several more months out of your set without any problems. Only alternative is to try a crt rejuvinator or replace tubes at a cost of 200.00 each if avail. plus labor. Good luck, Russmann.

No picture or sound

It sounds more like a shut down circuit problem if you can feel static from the face of the picture tube after it tries to start up. There are several things that can trigger a shut down condition on TV's. For instance, if there is no vertical deflection signal present, the set may shutdown to prevent a permanent line being burnt across the front of the tube. If the power supply wasn't regulating the B+ voltage properly, it would shutdown to prevent damage in the horizontal sweep section. Or if the horizontal deflection circuit was defective and allowing the high voltage to climb too high (say above 33,000 volts) then the sensing circuit would trigger a shutdown event. If any of the above sounds like gibberish to you then you will need to take the set to a professional for repair.
