Model SMEG SA-708 Oven. Temperature overheat lot of smoke coming out of the oven fan force is working, When open the door. I think 2 problem it could be temperature control or knob control. How to repair. Thanks Tim

Problem is caused by out of calibration main oven thermostat or faulty (melted) function switch, only sollution check function switch for signs of melted or burnt connection other wise change stat. Regards Engineer

SOURCE: smoke from oven

I am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years sounds like pure coincidence, check the fan for circuit at terminals, and / or check for movement of blades, that you have not got fan jammed, replace fan motor unit if needed, still cheaper than a call out if i have helped rate me work with safety all the time, unplug at all times when working on any item

SOURCE: My Smeg oven heats up

Hello, my problem will soon be resolved by employing a professional smeg electrician who said I needed a new thermostat. Thank you for reading but I no longer need 'fixya' assistance this time around.

SOURCE: My gas oven overheats and burns my baking. With

bad thermostat.....buy new at lowes .....its inside the oven.....usually at the top of oven..looks like copper rod with copper wire ....easy to change...buy at lowes or homedepot
