Ringer not nearly loud enough (LG Glimmer)

Hi,

I just purchased my LG Glimmer today and I really like the phone, except for the quiet ringer. I read about it before I purchased the phone, but thought that there was an easy fix. I tried to update the software on my phone (go to settings, phone information, click on 5 Software updates) but that didn't work out. All I kept getting was "Unable to connect to server right now, please try again later". I tried all day and now I finally gave up. I called LG, but their customer service wasn't very helpful at all. I don't think they even understood my question.
All I want to know is how to get a louder ringer and also how to get ringtones for this phone. It is a great phone, but for how much it cost it should automatically have those features without all the trouble.

You need to take your cellphone to the alltel store so they can update thats the only way to update.

Ringer is set at max but is hard to hear
If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout.

I have a solitaire 2000 payphone which is about 9 years old, on answering it has a crackly noise and bad reception, i have purchased the same phone today but ringing tone is so quiet i will after to take...
Isn't there any option to up the volume? I think it would be a waste to repair that old thing. go to a store or contact an online shop for advice :)

How do I adjust the volume on the alarm feature of the LG Quantum phone
The alarm plays at the same volume the ringer is set at, put it on loud before bed if it doesn't wake you up. Weirdly you can even set the phone to silent after making it loud, that way wont wake you if you get a text/email during the night.

I think your mobile ringer no working it need to be clean. So if you have any Mobile repair worker to near your home go to over there & tell him to make it clean but carefully then check your mob. ringer.

I have an LG Glimmer an it wont turn on & it wont charge!
I found the perfect solution (if you are in the market where Alltel is now Verizon). My screen stopped working and this was the third one I've had. If it is still under warranty, take it to Verizon where they are suppose to replace. But since Verizon doesn't carry the Glimmer they are forced to give you a different phone that compares to the Glimmer. They great thing about this is that the Glimmer is equivalent to the EnV Touch, a 10x better phone (full QWERTY keyboard, no block on ringtones, and no annoying ascending ringer!). So I exchanged a crappy glimmer for an awesome EnV Touch for free. So if you are now a Verizon Customer and under warranty I would totally do this!

Ringer too quiet
I do apologize for your issue with the quiet ringer. Especially if you have some important calls you are waiting for. Somethings to keep in mind. Everyday, you want to make sure you power down your cellular phone completely for about 10-20 seconds. That way it's refreshed.
Second, check your profile on the phone is on silent,meeting,outdoors,normal,etc? When you highlight either of them you can customize it. Make the volume higher. Also, for testing purposes set only factory made ringtones, which are already on your phone. Test them all out, and see which ones are sufficient. A lot of times if you download ringtones or use MP3's as ringtones, they are not loud enough.

I know this will assist you with your phone and ringers!
