Question about Intertherm Air Conditioners

1 Answer

I have an Intertherm wall heater, model number WR-2000-t. It has quit working. I have power to the unit so I suspect that it could be the switch. Are there parts available for this unit and where can I order them?

Intertherm lp gas furnace model number m6rl060a be no power to unit breaker ok

If you have recently changed your filter sometimes the door doesnt go back on right to depress the door switch. if you have power going to the unit the next place in line is the door switch. it looks like a light switch in your refrigerator and the door must be in place properly to depress it all the way

Why is my Intertherm P681S unit getting hot and the fan is is stopping?

Is the outside running? Is the outside fan running? Probably what is happening the fan outside quits running and the compressor gets hot and goes into thermal overload. need to check to make sure the outside fan is running.

Sounds like a bad contactor in the circuit. They are usually power to close (on) and spring to open (off) so it should go off automatically. A tech can open unit find right relay and replace it or try contacting these folks with your serial number:

I have an old Intertherm gas-fired furnace, Model MGH-055AB which ceased operating last night. It was quite warm when I arrived home, and when I set the heat up a little, began to hum, but the fan would...

Tom P's answer is generally correct: The motor start capacitor is usually not the problem. However, in some cases, particularly on older furnaces, where there were capacitors of certain make and production run will prematurely fail. This happened in March on a mobile home HVAC unit where both the blower fan and condenser fan motor capacitors failed open circuit. Both caps were of the same Mfg, and production lot.
Here is a suggestion (for you or an electrically inclined friend): Locate a substitute motor capacitor having similar Mfd (or MF) and Voltage ratings. Remove power from the unit. Reach into the blower squirrel cage and spin it to verify that the shaft is not frozen. Pull the wires from the existing capacitor noting color and location. Connect the wires to the substitute capacitor and secure it place. Apply power and turn on the blower. A no start? Motor replacement time.

I have a Intertherm heating and air conditioner it is a Manufactured Home. The furnace model number is E2EB-017HA. When you flip the switch to heat and move the control arm up nothing happens. You can go...

When you turn the on/off switch to on you are turning on the "fan switch" and the blower motor is only coming on. When you turn the switch to cool and move the tempature control lever down you are turning on the air conditioner...So it sounds like your heater is not working. Is the heater electronic ignition or does it have a pilot? If it has a pilot the heater may not be working because the pilot is out and will need to be lit. If it is electronic ignition you will need to inspect the unit to determine what component is faulty. Could be the igniter, gas control valve, ect. Verify that gas is not shut off to unit at line valve and gas control valve on unit.

Intertherm ac/heater in a mobile home shuts off and won't come back on for quite a while. Then it runs fine for days, weeks, sometimes months. HELP

I am assuming it's an electric unit (most are). Sounds like there is a low voltage short somewhere. This could also be a thermostat problem as well. If it were a relay switch, it would not work at all because when they go bad, thats it they dont work anymore. There isn't an inbetween. I'm leaning more towards a low voltage short. Make sure that your low voltage wiring is tight and not loose. Be careful not to work on the unit with power to it.

Intertherm rooftop air conditioner problem

With two units of the same make and one works right and the other does not you can use an OHM meter to check the resistance through the heaters on the good one then compare it to the readings on the one which is not performing. NOTE: with the power off of course.
