Question about Garmin GPS
No. GPS units are receive only. Yes some have an FM & bluetooth transmitters but the transmitting range is very limited to just a few feet.
My advice to you is use the Garmin 4-digit lock and change the splash screen to show something like:
"Property of (your first name)"
"Your email address"
"Your phone number"
"Reward for GPS return"
Also, put a text file on Nuvi's directory with the same info.
Write your serial number down and keep it in a secure place.
This won't prevent it from getting stolen but will make it known that it is and you might just get it back. Doing nothing will certainly gurantee you won't get it back.
