Disconnect the power cable from the Notebook and then remove the Battery pack. While the Battery pack is removed, press and hold the power button on the Notebook for 15 seconds.

Next, reinsert the Battery pack and connect the power cord to the Notebook and turn it ON. While the Computer is booting, you can view the information on the bottom of the screen to get to the Setup Screen.

On the Setup screen, use the right arrow key to highlight the "Exit" menu, then select the option "load/get default" and press the Enter key followed by F10 keypress to reset the BIOS and save and exit the screen.

Removing the Time of Year battery will clear the BIOS password. It is located on the underside of the n610c behind the panel covered by the Microsoft COA label. A small phillips screwdriver is required to remove the two screws on the panel. Carefully lift the BR1225 battery with a small flat blade screw driver.

After 10 minutes re-insert the battery. The BIOS Password should now be cleared, as well as other BIOS settings, the time and date.
