You need a new HV generator. The following site has them and they have a picture of it so you can see if thats the part youre referring to, I believe it is. Its listed under the flyback section and its called Phillips HV generator.

I would need to see a picture of what your describing. Can you post a picture of it?

the best way is to just remove the shelf that slides in next to the tubes and then just reach up on the back wall and clean the mirror with a soft damp cloth ( NO WINDEX) then dry its a bit of a twist and reach but it can be accomplihed from the rear without dissassembling the unit.

Phillips Magnavox 9P5534C103 need to replace Ics

Check with TV repair.com who sells kits for most of these sets that come with all the needed parts and instructions---you might also look on You Tube who has video instructions for a lot.

This is a older set and the chips will either be on large board to left as seen from rear or to the far right side as seen from rear--the chips are soldered in STK-392-110 OR -120 CHIPS. I can give general instructions if know where they are and what number is printed on the front of them.

I am going to resolder the flyback, but what is? and where is the small signal board?? And would that need to be replaced or repaired?

I am attaching a picture of the flyback whicch is the large transformer which is on the far left side and has the thick red wire coming out its top. The small signal board is the large green board on the right side with all of the inputs on it. The small signal board is a sensitive board and requires professional tools (Chipper Check interface )to diagnose and repair. But the flybacks are famous for failing. the flyback is circled in the picslinteriors_15.jpg

It has an electric arc in the back an makes a cracking noise

the high voltage runs the picture tubes. you have a bad high voltage transformer (large signal board) or something wrong with the anode wires (big red ones) or could be a bad tube. this has 30,000 volts so be careful or call a Pro.

Magnavox LCD HDTV starts on its own since last few months and sometimes it changes channel on its own. This problem happens intermittently and really apprecaite fix for this. This TV is 15 months old.

it either needs new front switch panel or new signal module, turn the tv on and disconnect the front switch board if it quits doing things on it's own you need a new front switch panel, if it still does functions on it's own you need a new signal board.

Hi again!!!

The RCA jacks should be near the signal board. The vertical will be on the same board as the Flyback which Is a large transformer with the large red wires coming out of it. You shold be able to remove the screws in the chassis and slide the chassis out and tip it up so you can see the under side of the boards.
