Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Nothing on screen

My screen is just black and the lamp light is red and there is no error code

    Same problem here. New Lamp installed and lamp light on TV is on, indictating lamp is bad.

There is a proplem in the power,open the bacage which is found behind the screen,if the thread is cutting repair it and clean you computer from dust,you will see the computer is very well.

The TV was turned off; and when it was turn on later, the green light blinked (while with only black screen w/no sound, or bulb illumination front/back of unit); and shortly afterwards the status ligh

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Red light 5 blinks


your set needs attention by the authorised service - probably the Vertical scan, horizontal scan or the flyback transformer driver circuits have failed.

Hi,
Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

5 blinks is code for lamp driver failure.Replace ballast.

Capacitor failure is the most likely scenario the FMT ans Signal PWB would cause the picture interference and the power pwb would cause the lamp light to turn red and give a 34 code when the device/ input and menu buttons are pressed in together and held for five seconds. That chassis has issues with every board in the chassis having failed capacitors you can get repair kits for the V26 chassis at the follwing link that come with instructions. Your model is the V26 chassis. Heres the link.

I have SONY KDF-50E2000 about 15 months old with expired warranty. One day it just refused to turn on. I have green power light for couple seconds, after that it starts blinking red 3 times with interval....


Its definately the error for lamp cover or lamp position error either the lamp door switch is broken or the lamp contacts are not making contact

Standby Lamp


Count the flashes of the standby light and the gap between them as this will give you the exact error code for the fault. Then check handbook or sony forums for the solutions. Like I have said in other posts sony and 3rd party dont really go together but it does not mean that because I have had those experiences it applies to all products and components. Hope this helps.

what model of Sony is it? On many of the Sony projectors, a 3 flash error code indicates the lamp is not properly seated/installed or the lamp door is not closed properly

Green light blinking


It will have to be diagnosed. As the only blinking light error for that model is when the led turns from green to flashing red which indicates a lamp error. If its new I recomend returning it most retailors will freely exchange a new TV . Wish I could help more but there is no diagnostic codes for that model other than lamp error. And being that I am taking that the back light isnt working either. I would contact the retailor without delay.
