Check the camera settings, there must be the resolution somewere, check that it is at least 320x240or more.
Check that the lens is not dirty.
Check that the computer is not slow for lack of RAM.
Check that your computer display resolution is not set to 256 colors, you find this in control panel/ display properties.
Upgrade direct X from here :
Download details: DirectX 9.0If you still get the problem test the camera on a different computer to know if it is faulty.
