Question about Dell Axim X3 Pocket PC

Boots up only to Blue Dell Screen on Axim 3

One of our Dell PocketPc Axim3 will only boot to the blue Dell screen and no further. It is out of warranty (one year) by 6 months so Dell is no help. We have reset is from the back. Removed battery, push reset and power at the same time? We are thinking about reloading the operation system? Is this possible and how? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you hard reset by press power button then press the reset button, did you hold them for about 5 seconds? If hard reset does not work, then it's probably hardware problems

The device is stuck on the blue Dell screen.


Hi,
1. Remove the memory card and all the accessories connected to your device, If any.
2. Try powering up your device and there should be some hole in your device using which you can reset the device.
3. Find out the reset hole and press it using a needle like materials and by this way your problem may get solved.

Show a blue screen


You need to go into the Setup Utility or BIOS when the computer boots. You need to enable the computer to boot from the CD drive, and set up boot priority with CD Drive first, then Hard Drive HDD.

Then it will boot the disc.

Axim 50/51 wont pass blue startup screen


There could be two possible problems with this device.

If you have to remove the unit to shutdown, then the ROM chip holding the information for the bootup of the unit may need to be replaced.

The other possible problem is that the battery consumption of the unit may be greater than what the battery is rated at.

Either way, it will have to go in for repair.

your os is corrupt so repair the operating system or reload it

Doesn't go past start-up screen


when started and on the blue screen hold the power button down shutting it off restart it and a black screen pops up go down to start in safemode with networking that should work

Blue screen with dell logo??


This is usually called the "Blue Screen of Death" and the system tries to dump memory

See if you can Read any of the text which may detail the error

Try starting it in safe mode by tapping F8 every few seconds during startup

If it starts post back and i'll tell you how to use system restore

If it still fails then call in an Engineer
