It may still be able to work. put it in a bowl of rice. that will **** out all the moisture from in the game. try starting it up after about a day or 2

i am not sure 2 years ago i had game in slot one and 2 and it turned on fine the ds lite was at least 5 years old i lost my old one in a movie theater in Hawaii :(
It sounds like a faulty battery. As it is under 1 year old, it is still under warranty. Return it to the origional place of purcase, who will either fix or replace it.
Go to the retailer you bought it from and if you bought it less than two years ago you can get a new one free with the exchange of the old one only if you have the warranty
my mates ds lite happened the same too. the only thing you can do is...
1. send it back to nintendo if its insuared
2. buy a new one
3. try and fix it yourself (mate used sellotape)
