Did you poke the reset hole in the back of the palm? This does a reboot.
You can try that, or try plugging it in to charge and while it's charging poke the reset hole (this is supposed to reset the charging mechanism).

Hello, have a Palm 755p Treo screen just keeps flashing

There are multiple reasons for the phone to go into an endless loop.

Fix #1 - Soft Reset - Take out the battery. On the back of your phone, pop the cover off, remove battery, place battery back in and it will show each screen once and power on normally.

Fix #2 - Hard Reset - To do a hard reset, hold the power button while you replace the battery and then release it when the Palm logo appears.

Fix #3 - Hammer

Palm treo 755p palm OS - tries to start and keeps restarting

If it's stuck on the Access screen the likely hood you will be able to get it back is slim to none...

Take the battery out and hold the 4 way switch up... We can hope this will hard reset the device... resync and it should be up and running right...

I highly doubt it will help

My palm treo 755p

Dhorner64 is incorrect. Your phone is not fried if you are in a restart loop. You need to do a "warm reset" which will not erase data. It is the equivalent of doing a safe boot in Windows. Remove the battery from your 755p, then put it back while holding the up button on the 5-way. Hold the up button as the phone starts. I had to do this frequently, then run the DataViz Tech app, which is available free from DataViz, to fix their prefs file, which was the source of my crashes. The problem was solved by upgrading to Docs2go v11. I was reluctant to pay to upgrade a crashing app, but the upgrade ended the frequent crashes. I have not had a couple resets since upgrading Docs2go, and no reset loops.

Screen problems

I have personally had every Palm Treo ever made. I am also currently a 755p user and this is my second 755p that I have owned.

The problem that you are having is a common one and one that I have seen from every Treo that I have owned. I have found though that many of the problems that people have with their Treo's is that they do not turn them off and on again on a regular basis. I have found that if I power off my Treo for a few minutes in the morning and again mid way through the day that I have a lot fewer problems then ever before.

This is about all the help I can give for the problem that you are having, I have always loved the Palm platform Treo's, but there are a lot of problems that come with owning one and as a multi Treo owner I have learned to just live with them and try new things to see if they will work, but the suggestion that I gave above has helped with my screen blackouts and made owning my Treo's much nicer then before.

Hope this helps,

Glenn
