I cannot clear the "Door

Hi

When you open the print cartridge access door there is a black toggle switch that needs to be in the depressed position to let the unit know the door is closed. If the cartridge door is not completely closed, the error message displays.

1. Open, and then close the cartridge door of the product. Make sure that the door rests securely against the body of the product.
NOTE: To see how to close the cartridge door of your specific model, see the cartridge section of your product's User Guide.
2. Check the product control panel to see if the error message still displays.
If the issue persists, see the next step.

Check the cartridge door for obstructions
1.Inspect the door and the area around it to make sure that no obstructions prevent the door from closing completely.
NOTE: Bits of paper, packing materials, and tape might prevent the door from closing completely.
2. Remove any obstructions.
3. Check the product control panel to see if the error message still displays.

If the problem still persists you need to reset the product...
1.Press the Power button to turn on the product.
2.Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product.
3.Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
4.Disconnect the power cord from the product.
5.Wait 30 seconds.
6.Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
7.Reconnect the power cord to the product.
8.Press the Power button to turn on the product.
9.Reconnect the USB cable to the product.
10.Check the product control panel to see if the error message still displays.

The full-featured HP OfficeJet 7130 all-in-one offers photo printing, double-sided printing, an automatic document feeder (ADF), a fax, a scanner, a copier, and inputs for all of the current breeds of photo memory cards on the market today. At first blush, the machine's large footprint may seem overbearing--until you take into account just how much space you're saving by putting all of your technological eggs into one basket. Unfortunately, the 7130 isn'

As you have replaced the both cartridges and still the issue persists, then this is a hardware issue with the unit. Please repair your printer.

Power lead missing

Hi Tony,

I looked at the specs for your particular HP Officejet 7130. It is extremely important to connect the correct powersource to this type of printer. All types of electrical appliances have specific amperage and wattage requirements. Connecting the wrong power supply could cause serious damage to a possible electrical fire. The following link is the installation instructions for your printer.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpu06196&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=91466

On this next link, you'll find the Product Specifications:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpu06193&jumpid=ot_recdoc/bpu06196/en_us/bpu06193/loc:2&custom_solutionid=rd_bpu06196&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=91466&lang=en#N3153

Your particular printer requires a 100W and no more than 2.5Amp Max. You can call HP and inquire on a replacement power supply. The two parts that you need that are sold separate are the power cord and the power module. You will have to call HP at 1-800-227-8164. The power module replacement part no is C27296-60043. The power cord part no is 8120-6260.

Best of luck!

I keep getting a scanner failure error

Let's try this. Turn power off, unplug the cord from the surge strip or wall socket. Leave unplugged for about 30 minutes, then plug back in and turn on. Hopefully this will fix your problem. Good luck.

Printer copies come out blank

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Remove both the ink cartridges from the All-In-One.
Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet.
Now move the carriage (carriage is the one which holds the cartridge) Too and Fro till you feel the carriage is moving smoothly.
Then insert the cartridges close the access door.
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector.
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)
Now try printing a test page or make a copy

If it still makes a loud noise and the message comes up as scanner failure, then either the scanner or the scanner machanisum is bad, you may have to replace the unit

Good Luck

HP Officejet 7130 "Scanner Failure"

Scanner failure usually means you'll have to replace the entire scanner unit.

When the machine turns on (or gets plugged in), does anything happen...any lights come on?

Is the machine able to print from the computer and recieve faxes while the scanner error is present?  If so, you probably need a scan unit.
