Re: usb ports not working
Check if the wires connecting the USB port and the mainboard is in place. It may be loose due to transport or troubleshooting activities inside the CPU. Manufacturers usually label these wires. You can access it if you open your computer and look at the back (inside) of the front side of the CPU.

What version of Windows are you using? What happens when you plug in a USB device? Any error messages? Check your BIOS and see if the ports are enabled. If theyre not, then enable them. If youre running Windows 98 Second Edition or newer, the USB port drivers are typically built in. If all else fails, you can purchase and install a USB card. If its an older machine, get the 2 port card, otherwise, the 4 or more port card will suffice. (Some 4 or more port cards dont play nice in older machines.)
i think you need to go to BIOS and check whether USB is enabled or not. You can go to the BIOS by pressing DEL or F2 key when you start up your PC . Can you please mention the motherboard's company name so that i can provide you more information.
