Have already tried clearing print queue

  • gwenpattison Sep 05, 2008

Cleared the print queue, uninstalled the printer and reinstalled - still have the
problem. Could it be something to do with
the ink cartridge - told me that it had
been changed although I had not inserted a
new one. Printer still thinks it is busy!

Is the busy light blinking by itself? If so, Press the Load/Eject button to eject the last page from the HP DeskJet 500C Printer. Is it blinking in conjunction with the ready light? That is a paper jam issue. Busy and change light blinking? The HP DeskJet 500C Printer detects a bad print cartridge or an interconnect problem (10 or more open connections). Try checking out the Black Ink Cartridge Alignment. If the busy and ready lights are grouped together, a printer electronics failure occurred and you should take it to an authorized HP repair shop for repair. If all lights are blinking simultaniously, a non-recoverable error occurred. Turn off the printer, remove any optional plug-in cartridges, and turn on the printer.

  • If the printer powers up properly but will not power up properly with the optional plug-in cartridge, the optional plug-in cartridge is faulty. Replace the optional plug-in cartridge.
  • If all lights blink without any optional plug-in cartridges installed, return the printer for repair.
If this was helpful, please be sure to leave a great rating! Good luck! :)

So the busy light is on? That is also an error light. Is the printer cleared of all paper jams and cartridges installed properly? How long have you had the printer? Have you made any recent changes to the printer. Once I have more information I can assist you further.
Thanks,
Lee

In printing properties and printing preferences be sure and tell the printer you're printing labels, it allows more time for the card stock to reach the starting point.

Using JETCET Print with OKI C5200n Printer

The OKI 5200 is a 'GDI' or Windows only printer and does not support PCL or PostScript languages.
Most if not all of the printers listed support either PCL or PS or an inkjet based language.
I'm afraid you will not be able to print the the 5200 without it's driver loaded on the PDA.
If the 5200 supported PCL you would be able to choose any of the
Color HP Deskjets.
