Keep getting a water leak on the rear passenger side foot area.. Water puddles around the top left area where your feet go. (right around the front passenger's back chair anchor on left side) No traces of leaking on the ceiling , thru the doors seals. I cannot trace where this water is coming from. There is no wet areas other than the direct spot that i have explained to you.. there is a small crack in the seal at the center of the rear window ( the outside seal). I have felt around constantly when the water puddle is present under both seats and along the roof ,along the doors etc and cannot locate where this is coming from..I had the car sitting for 3 years and each spring I had to wet vac out at least an inch or 2 of water each year.. Help..
Why didn't you say that??? I would have not suggested the windshield, but it is the most common issue, worked for a Ford dealer for over 20 years YOU HANDICAPPED ME BY NOT PROVIDING ALL THE INFORMATION. Based on our research the RAV4s with wet floors are usually, but not always, clogged sunroof drains or drain outlets. Other RAV4 owners found that the body trim surrounding their windshield or even the fender panel had degraded and failed, allowing water to seep in during heavy rain.

Don A has an excellent answer, but if you have a sunroof, that is more likely the reason. The pipe runs down between the door pillar and the windshield and there is often a join there which can part. Be careful with compressed air as it can blow joints apart.

So you're saying you replaced the heater core because water was puddling on the driver's side, but water is still puddling on the driver's side? I'm assuming you're in the US and the driver's side is on the left and the heater core is on the right side.
Do you get much rain where you live? Is the vehicle parked outside? Do you notice the puddling more often after a rain? If this is the case, your water intrusion may be because of a leaking seal around the windshield or door. Check by getting the floor reasonably dry, and then have someone sit inside while another floods your car with a garden hose - specifically the windshield and driver's door. Have the inside observer try to catch a stream of water along the edge of the windshield, along the door jam, or along the door sill.
I have got a Suzuki Alto. I been having problems lately. When ever it rains the car get flooded inside. I keep getting a puddle of water by the back and front and under the seat of the passenger side of the feet. It happen when the car is standing stationary at night and in the evening when it rains and by the morning there is a puddle of water inside. As attached in the picture. The garage did a get wash but they could not find no leak and fixed the rim of the doors on the passenger side of the door too but it still keep happened and I went back the garage but they have done all the investigation but they still can't seem to find the problem for the water flooding inside of the car. Can you please help in understanding what else could be the course of this problem. I look forward to hearing from you.
ok check the water level on your car if it is low then you have a heater core busted or a hose that runs to it. It is located under the dash on the passenger side. But if it is not low of water then check around the edge of the top were it seals to the car. Sometimes they will not seat right causing the water to run down the metal to the inside. Hope this helps.
Generally, water on the passenger side is the A/C drain tube.
Driver side generally means widshield or sun roof seal leak.
Did you wash the Mazda or did it rain prior to puddling?
Before disassembling the windshield seal, test ... with a water hose (Remove floormat and place a towel on newspapers on the driver's side floor).
There is a "smoke" test" that can more accurately find the leak. See if you local AutoZone will rent one (maybe free) to you.
A/C drain pipe blocked with old leaves and dead flies the outlet is on the passenger side of vehicle lift bonnet and look a lower of firewall for a rubber pipe with a **** in the end and squeeze it and shake it
pull your carpet up near the leak area and look for muddy body seams. it is possible one of the factory body seams are leaking- possibly in the cowl(under wipers) area, especially if it leaks when the car is sitting. there will be dirt/mud around the seams that are leaking. also you can check door seals by running the car on HIGH DEFROST with all doors and windows closed. spray around with a 50/50 soapy water solution. obviously bubbles will form around your leak.
your footwells will fill with water - even under your seats right to the back seats footwells
See two 10mm holes in front sides when sunroof is open.
a) push a flexible cable down from the top - it comes out just behind the front wheels. (use electric three core cable - or TV aerial cable - a hanger is too short) - you need about a metre and a half)
b) remove the inner mudgaurd behind the front wheels (2 screws) you will see the end of the plastic drainage pipes - remove the blocked black rubber cup at the end of these - why they are there is anybody's guess)
just had the windshield replaced.. this is not the problem.. thx tho
sorry. I forgot to add that bit. My apologies!!
