If you just recently received the printer then it is probably still under the manufacturers warranty which means you can return it. The problem you are describing sounds like the printer was damaged in shipping and therefore, in most cases, the manufacturer should replace it for you.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 1600W Laser Printer. The Cartridge will not lock in and they will no longer rotate

Question edited for full 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved to make model category.

See if there is a broken piece sitting in the bottom of the machine. It is small enough that you can turn it upside down and shake it. All machines have some type of guide rail and a positive lock at the end.

Rear door on up LaserJet pro 200 doesn't close properly following paper jam issue

SO this is how I fixed mine. There were no broken parts and I dont know if the small plastic part that has one screw holding it on is supposed to move up and down. It doesnt matter how tight the screw is, it wont stay in the upright position. So I turned the priinter upside down and THEN closed the door. Gravity held the plastic part on the back of the door in place and door closed easily.

HP Colour Laserjet 4700DN This printer has a duplex system fitted which requires a different Black Cartridge to the Q5950A. The Q5950A cartridge is too wide & long to fit in the slot.

There is a flat piece of plastic with a clear plastic sheet attached. This is suppose to pulled out all the way and disposed of before you install the cartridge. This is there for shipping so toner doesn't go everywhere. The box it came in should have some instructions. If you have already done this and it still is too big, then something is wrong as that is the right cartridge. So if you have done all this and it still doesn't fit, take the cartridge back and get another. One thing you can do to help you decide what is wrong is to pull out another cartridge from your machine and compare it with the one you have. What do see that is different? All colors will fit in each others slot however they will not work unless they are in the proper slot. A service technician can make them work in any slot for testing but beyond the scope of this question. A user cannot. Please compare your black cart with one of the others I am sure this will help you figure it out.

I called a few days ago about my printer problem. I had an error message 6202. I have received the printer that you sent me to replace mine. This printer has a problem, too. My reference no is #6823342...

Would you mind if I ask you to please clarify? Did you call FixYa or did you call the Printer Manufacturer support? If you reference number and the order number is FixYa's, I'll help you forward it to the FixYa support so that they can verify the order and it's status.

Since you didn't mention the Printer's model and Brand, I can't give you any tip, it'd be much appreciated if you can let me know about your printer so that I can help you fix the problem.

Thanks and Awaiting.

The print cartidge is missing

Please note the printer make and model and visit any computer shop - disclose the model name there they will give you the perfect cartridge. If you know how to fit the cartridge then well but if you don't then unpack the cartridges and please remove the plastic tape from the cartridge head or it will not work, open printer cover up - notice the empty cartridge holder in the printer, there you notice black and color cartridge holder. Look to the cartridge and holder you will understand the position of the cartridge to fit, now push the lower portion of any cartridge to the holder and give a very low pressure on the top (backward pressure to fit the in the holder). Same way you fit the next cartridge. Close the printer cover down. Print any document - it will definitely print.

Hp 99 cartridge is suppose to fit in a hpc4385 but will not is installation differant than the others?

Hi,
Yes #99 is supposed to go into the printer... remember when you try to install a #99 cartridge you need to take out the black cartridge... (i.e. #99 is used instead of the black cartridge).

Hope this helps,
Ed

1610 all-in-one printer

I have this same problem...and here is how I "fixed" it. I cleaned the connection points first off. I still received the same message. There is a little metal peice that the cartridge fits into(it kind of looks like the easter egg holder that you dye easter eggs with)...I just pushed that peice up a little so the cartridge would fit the way it is suppose to. I then received a message that my cartridge was the wrong type. So I pushed the little metal peice down a smidge...then it worked. I just "fixed" it so I can't say for how long it will stay that way...but for now it works. Hope this helps!!!!

Ink cartridge

Maybe you've already tried this, but here's the instructions from the HP website, with pictures.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00411520&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=445441

It sounds like you removed the plastic object and protective tape, but can't get the cartridge to sanp in place. Be careful not to touch the the corner where the tape had been. Slide the cartridge at a "Slight upward angle" to get the leading bottom edge in.

Hope this helps,
