lights flash on fire, then relay clicks on, lights on flame effect on, select heat, then full heat relays click then fire switches off after a few seconds, dependent on attempt to whether fire switches on at all, to get 1kw heat out, 2kw no chance

We needed to turn the water off at the stopcock to repair a tap and for safety we turned the boiler from all day to off. when we turned the water on again the boiler was off completely. what do we need to...

Hi the temperature control on the boiler should start the boiler as soon as you restore power to it. I don't know if you have a automatic ignition module or a standing pilot. If it is a standing pilot, make sure it is lite. You should have a temperature gauge telling you the water temp., and if it was off all day I am sure it is very cool. Do you have a drain valve on the front bottom of this boiler? If so, and you have a floor drain, turn it on as you may have gotten air in the system causing it not to fire up. If not, open all outside hose bibs/faucets and indoor faucets and let them run for awhile. If the water was drained out from the boiler to repair this tap, its off on its low pressure shut off switch. This is a safety. After bleeding any dirt or air from the system, make sure that you hear the boiler filling up with water. Once it reaches its low pressure cut off, it will fire up and start to heat the water. I don't know how large it is, but it may take some time to reach its cut out switch before it will fire again. Please keep me posted in the comment box. Please rate me on my help to you, and I thank you for this.

Our flamerite odyssey fire has stopped blowing out heat and we have changed the thermostat which seemed to be the obvious solution, but it just now blows the fuse.

I may of had the same problem, when i turned on the fire with the remote it would turn off straight away or not turn on at all. However i have just got it working again. Open the the door so you can turn the switch on and off. If you look in the opening where the two bulbs are, there is a small gap on the left. Make sure the mains is turned off, if you have small enough hands put your arm through the gap and push in the connector that is on the back of the on/off switch. My fire has not been working for ages, now that i have done this, it is working fine again. Good luck.

Heat would not come on and fan would not cut off even when thermostat was set to off. Took off the outside panel of the unit and red light was blinking 7 times - rollout switch fault. Since fan would not...

this means that the rollout switch was tripped by a flame coming from burners. could be a plugged fue or bad inducer motor, or a bad rollout switch. the fan will not shut off as a safety feature it keeps running incase the heat exchanger is to hot to keep a fire from starting. it will shut off after disconnecting power and restarting everything. watch the flames from burner when it lights to see if the actually roolout of the burner box toward the rollout sensor.
