Question about Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone

1 Answer

Settings I'm not 100% sure this is the right phone, all I know is that it is Panasonic. When in the menu category there is a setting where you can get the phone to "talk"- saying who it is calling. How do I get this, What setting is it?

Panasonic makes a talking CID phone for the TA systems. A 773x is not one of them. Check your model number and post back.

Hi.

From the main menu, you need to go to initial settings and then Ringer Settings. From there adjust your ringer volume and ringtone.

My laptop shuts down when i close the lid and it is not plugged in

The reason for this is most likely in your settings, if running windows 7 you can right click on the battery icon on the right side of the taskbar (may need to expand the menu) after this you should see an option for power options, click that and then click the change plan settings for the plan you are currently using or the plan that you wish this feature to be on. After the change plan settings menu you should see a basic list of settings here, click on advanced settings, then there should be a pop up menu, find the power buttons and lid category and click to see the dropdown options, under the Lid and Power buttons sub-menu there is a setting for Lid Close Action and what the computer should do when on battery and plugged in

Hi
Make sure your ringer is not in vibrate mode. Try These this thing first
Press Menu > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type > Voice Calls.
Select Caller IDor No Caller ID. (A list of ring type categories will be displayed.)
Select a category, and then use your navigation key to scroll through the available ringers. A sample ringer will sound as you highlight each option.
Press OK to assign a ringer. Make sure your speaker works. Turn On your speaker phone while talking to someone and see whether you can hear or not. Make sure the increase the volume using keys on side of your phone.
If none of these works the ******** motor needs to be cheked for loose connections inside the phone.

Cannot turn off the caller ID function on the panasonic phone model No. KX-TG6051b. Have set the "off" on talking caller ID on the menu, but doesn't turn off

There's a setting under "initial setting", it allows you to adjust the talking caller-id setting on the base station. It bugged me for a while as well....having the base shouting the callers number as I was saying hello.
