Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
My DVD/CD drive has just stopped working and will not play or recognise any discs. Windows says that device driver software was installed but that it encountered a problem when it tried to run - problem code 10.
Can you help please?
Ok you can do two things to fix it
first of all go to start
go to run
type regedit and hit ok
now in the registry go to this path
and remove both upper and lower filters from the right pane
now close the registry editor.
reboot the computer and see if that fixed it or not
if not the download the drivers from this website.
just select the operating system that u have and then download it and reinstall the driver and then reboot the computer
that should be it
if still not working then i guess its a hardware issue
