Question about Garmin StreetPilot c530 GPS Receiver
I just got this from the Garmin support guys. You won't believe how easy. From the main menu, click on the wrench, then map info. That should tell you what version of the map your Garmin is using. There's a little box in the upper left corner. If it's not checked, just touch it and the check should appear. Hold down the back button till you are at the main screen. Voi la! He also recommended sitting the Garmin outside and turned on and then not moving it for about 40 minutes. I hope it's that easy for you!

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have a similar problem. c530. Updated to 2008 maps the other day and now it can't find a single thing. Doesn't recognize any state or address. Old addresses that I've found are still there, with directions. And eventually, it finds a satelite, but I'm driving from Virginia to Florida tomorrow and could really use a clue. I've been on hold with Garmin for half an hour.
