My Dell monitor works fine unless I open a program! Everytime I try to open a program, the monitor flickers back and forth from the regular screen to a screen that says "Dell.com Genesis Display Perfection." It will not stay on the regular screen at all unless everything is closed.

there is a problem with the degausing coil of the monitor. just open the case and try to clean the degausing coil. thx jsut vote for me so that i can help u better.

It sound like a short circuit. I had this problem with 1907FP model. It had an USB port on the monitor which got damaged and it was shortening to the groung. In your case it might be a bad internal power supply board.
