Question about Philips HD-7810 Espresso Machine

Philips HD-7810 Espresso Machine - lid jam

The lid of the machine has jammed in position and I cannot open the top of the machine to access the used pad/padholder in the normal way. Perhaps a vacuum is present but I do not want to force the lid open in case I damage the machine. All guidance/suggestions are most welcome. Thanks!

Same problem - lid stuck, held by vacuum suction. It happened when I used a Capuchino pod - we were able to finally get it going after 15 minutes, but now it happened again with the plastic refillable pod and we cannot get the lid open, not get it going again. We left it outside to cool off all night. I am afraid I am going to break the coffemaker.

Why lid wont close when pod is in holder ?

Did you place the lid in correct?
Is it the lid that came with the machine?
You should have two, one for one pad, and one for two pads. Make sure you only put in one at the time.
You can fine the manual online, but the most important pictures are here too e2d40f99-b185-43c6-bffd-a3c704f68e25.png

I have a new senseo machine & inadvertently stopped the initial flushing process. It doesn't appear to be working properly now.....what do I need to do to rectify this

"> It is quite common. If your machine is less than 2 years, contact Philips and they will give you a new one. Else, It takes a bit of patience to disassemble the machine. (The version that I have HD-7810) you have to: ) 1. remove the water tank;remove the back part that is touching the water 2. remove the back cover beneath the water tank; 3 spot 2 screws at the sides of the vertical plastic, one on each side(better to use a light or led to really see it); 4. Remove the screws with a Philips driver; 5. Use a small sharp tool to pop open the under cover of the machine - star by one of the sides, go through the part where the buttons are and continue untill all of it is off; 6. You will see a yellow rectagular capacitor. Desolder and solder a new one. 7. Close the machine as nothing happened and enjoy the coffee!

When i switch on the machine, the water spills over and doesn't go through the coffee pod

A number of options here:
- The seal is damaged or malformed. It should be flexible, round and bent inward without cracks or tears,
- The coffee pad has come between the seal and its seat. Make sure the pad is centered properly before closing the lid,
- The pad holder is bent or warped. Replace it or experiment with the other one you have.

Hi i have à senseo HD 7810 which i bought à week. R after running through the power up and forst time clearing procedure,The power light Doesjanbe not stay on. Therefore it is impossible to get...

You can repeat the cleaning procedure once more; there may be some air trapped in the machine. If that doesn't help, it's a warranty case I'm afraid.

Senseo HD-7810 Coffee Maker: how many uses can i get out of one coffee pad?...

Hi. They are only made for one shot, because the coffee will get weaker and weaker the more you use it. Also, it can compact and not let anything through.

The official stance from Philips on their website is this:

"We do not recommend this. The second cup of coffee will be rather weak. Also make sure the lid is closed properly, and do not press the 2-cup button if you want to brew only one cup."
