Follow the basic recording instructions from p.32 of your user manual, and add this step:
Press RECORD (z) repeatedly to select the
recording time length. Recording starts after the
first press.
DVD: Each subsequent press increases the
recording time by 10 minutes.

If I press the 'Guide' button on the remote I get the following message: "This function cannot be used now"

Go to the recording menu and make certain you have no timer recordings set. If you have clear them and try again.

Dvdr3320v will this model record digital tv programs

This device has 2 composite AV, 1 S-Video, 1 Firewire, 1 RF video inputs. The RF input is a way for it to accept a signal from say a VCR's or Video Game's output on Ch 3 or 4.

Your device also can record via internal tuner.. The tuner can tune VHF:2-13, Cable:1-125 and UHF:14-69. Unfortunately, if you only have a UHF / VHF antenna on your house for TV (do not have cable TV, satellite TV, or the like) you're not going to be able to find anything due to the change from analog TV to digital TV. For this, you would need to purchase a digital TV converter box, and put the output of it into the the DVDR3320V.

I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate my reply. Thanks.

Front panel buttons on Philips rear projection do random things

Leaky tact switches on control panel. Part number is 242212802742. Takes 6. They will cost you around 6.00 a piece. Lower front panel pulls off. Be careful as there are two cables attached to htis panel. This should take care of your issues.

DVDR3570h is stuck in standby, cannot turn on

I had this problem, it was solved by reformatting the hard-drive.

NOTE: if you do this, all settings and all that is saved on the harddrive is lost. But seeing that you can't start it anyway, that is acceptable, right? :)

Anyway, here's how you do it, according to Philips support:

  1. Pull out the power cord from the socket.
  2. Press and hold PREV and STOP (i.e. left and down) on the front panel.
  3. Plug the power cord into the socket again.
  4. Wait until the front panel says "FMT KEY" to let go of the buttons. Wait for it to finish formatting, upon which you will get "-- --" on the panel.
Restart the box and you should now end up at a screen asking you to set the language for the box, as if being started for the first time ever.

Also of note: if you want to restore the firmware to factory settings, Philips support told me to pull the cord, press and hold the STANDBY button, and plug it back in again. For the looping problem though, I didn't need that.

Hp 2210

The bulb in your HP PSC remains on for a specified period so that the unit
is immediately ready to respond to your request. When the HP PSC has not
been used within that specified period, it turns the bulb off to preserve
power and displays Power Save On in the front-panel display. (You can exit
this mode by pressing any button on the front panel.)
Your unit is automatically set to enter power-save mode after 12 hours.
Follow these steps if you want the HP PSC to enter this mode earlier.
1 Press Setup.
2 Press 5, then press 6.
This selects Maintenance, and then selects Power Save Mode Time.
3 Press until the desired time appears, then press Enter.
