Please disconnect Blue wire if its connected with 12 volt line.
Check 12 volt line as it seems disturbed in supply voltage when break pushed.

It seems you have a DEFAULT position and with that said, your device will always reset to the 21 volume setting. Contact the manufactures customer service personnel to go through the process of re-adjusting the controls.

My Sanyo FXCD 1100 car radio isn't functioning correctly. When I try to turn my music down, the volume goes up. It also gets stuck in the same volume range then gradually goes up when I'm turning the...

Could be a worn electronic ribbon between the unit and face. They wear from constantly moving and the wires inside break and short out. This happens a lot of movable face stereos. Older head units do not really have a reset aside from unplugging them and plugging them back in. You might be able to find a small hole behind the face containing a reset if there is one, just insert a small pin into the hole to press the reset if so.

Attenuator light always on... no sound

That light that stays on is not for the "ATT", it is just an indication that the unit has power. The problem with your radio is most likely the power amp IC inside the radio if you are using speakers connected directly to the radio from the speaker wires on the harness. If you are using an external amplifier for your speakers the problem will be either the electronic volume control IC or a muting transistor that has gone bad or the external amplifier is defective. There is no way to know exactly what is wrong without doing a few checks on the radio with a multimeter on have the radio on a work bench to be able to open it up and check a couple of things inside of it.

If you have a multimeter and a power supply (to turn the radio on while on a work bench) I can guide you thru the troubleshooting process to help you figure it out. But you will also need to have a soldering iron, solder, and solder wick to be able to remove the bad part and put in a new part.

Let me know if you will require any more help from me.

High note

Does it sound like an activation type noise? Like everytime you hit the button the noise goes off as an attention grabber? Could be a safety on the system. look through manual and see if this is the case and can be switched to mute.
