Re: camera works with comp but not with batteries

Before calling the service, try another thing: Find the 3 or 4 small catches for the battery compartment flap. a small movement of it, is enough for the batteries not to make a good enough contact. Anyway, about the cost, Send it to Fuji and quote the relevent problem (you'd expect it to last more than a X years :) ) Failing that, they can give a repair quote.... Good luck.

Re: camera works with comp but not with batteries

Leave the battery out for at least an hour. The camera will return to default settings when the "memory" is cleared after the reserve power in the camera runs down. When you put the battery back in you'll be asked to set the time/date again. It'll also revert to 1MP so you'll need to change your settings too. if it doesnt help, send it to repair - it looks like a switch malfunctioning...

You should try to plug it back into the computer and then safely eject it, and if that doesn't work you should get your computer checked out. Hope this helps!?

Camera is on! but blank screen when i turn it on !

Does it actually work? Does it take pictures? It may be that "liveview" is off-that is the screen you normally view on when taking your photos. Try using it and then playing your photos back and check if its woking. A mate of mine had that problem last week and thought her camera was broken!

PROBLEMS LOADING PICS TO COMP

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
