I Have a two year old Hitachi 65F59A. My issues are my picture will turn blue, get real dark or turn into like a cartoon, sometimes I will loose the picture al together. I live in a small town on a Military post and would like to try ans fix this myself, if not I will have to take my TV 3 hours away to the nearest repair shop. I would be greatfull if anyone can help

Re: 65 inch Hitachi projection TV
Read the info from this website and see if that could help you to fix your TV. All rear projection TVs behave the same way regardless who manufactured them. Before trying to make any adjustments, put a mark on the original position of that screen control potentiometer just in case you have to put it back to where it was.

Some things are better to have an in-home TV repair man come and look at. This is defiantly one of those occasions. Check to make sure all your cables are secure. Trade inputs with your devices such as your DVD player, cable box, ect. If you are still having a problem call a repair man.
don't know about the streak but as for the jumping, mine does the same thing only side to side. hitachi is aware of the problem and is working on updating the firmware. unless you have another problem it is an issue with your hdmi port. mine only does it when i am playing xbox 360 through the hdmi port. contact hitachi and tell them your problem. they might work with you. they even extended my warranty.
use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
