SYSTEM CAN'T FIND THE REGISTRY KEY SPECIFIED "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6.0_22" WHAT CAN I DO?

Just get to the control panel under the add/remove software ..and uninstall the java software completely ..cause more than sure it is corrupted..After that ..go on the web ..and download the java latest software ..and install it again ..but be sure you do not make changes for the director folder or such things..so that you system will be able to find it when needed..
Here is a link with the java software download..

Hi I am Farah, and as I wanted to download java , it came thet" " is not valid win 32 application'. What shoudl I do? Thx

It is possible that you are attempting to install a 64-bit version of Java when you have a 32-bit operating system. Check your operating and confirm this. In Vista you can find this using Start > Control Panel > System. This is similar if you have Windows 7. Here is what it looks like:

pcjanitor.jpg
If after that you, you follow these instructions from Sun (Java) to locate and install the 32-bit version.

Error: x64.exe not a valid Win32 application This article applies to:
  • Platform(s): Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003
  • Browser(s): Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla 1.4+
  • Java version(s): 6.0
SYMPTOMS

While trying to install Java a user gets an error message similar to:
' ... x64.exe not a valid Win32 application'

CAUSE

The error message is a result of trying to install a 64-bit version of Java on a 32-bit operating system.
SOLUTION

User needs to install a 32-bit version of Java software, since a 64-bit version is not compatible with their 32-bit operating system.

Follow these steps to download 32-bit Java
  1. Go to Manual download
  2. Click Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 Online.
  3. The File Download dialog box appears.
  4. Choose the folder location.
  5. (Save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your desktop).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Close all applications including the browser.
  8. Double-click on the saved file icon to start the installation process.

My pc won't work correctly. I cant reboot, it just has these horizontal coding lines and then wants to do startup repair but that doesn't do anything. I then decided to try to take it back to factory...

The funny thing is that this error and the error "the memory could not be written" are not related to each other. I found a fix that helped pretty fast. The memory could not be read is apparently a Java error which is causing the problem. You find a big explanation with various solutions at a official Java website.
I would still like to outline how I fixed this error. The Java website has several solutions to get rid of this error and you should start at solution 1 and the error will hopefully disappear after you have tried solution number 4 which is the last one in that list. My error disappeared after trying solution number 1. Here is what I did to fix "the memory could not be read".
I went to the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Engine and renamed the Engine directory to Engineold. After renaming that directory download the latest Java Runtime Environment from Sun and install it on your computer. The error disappeared after restarting my system.
You should try solution 2, then 3 and lastly 4 if the first solution did not work out to get rid of "the memory could not be read".

Runtime error

relax ekse... :)

anyway,

specifically what type of runtime error did you encounter joe?

to make things easier for you. install java, install flashplayer, upgrade your browser. this may help you with that runtime error. my best guess is this is a script runtime error on IE.

what do you think ekse?
