I have put new cartridges in my DESKJET F4100, all lights are as should be but it will not print

As it's a USB printer, and it's been moved it's installed multiple versions of itself to multiple "virtual USB printer ports"

Try right clicking on the highest numbered copy, select properties, then click Print test page. If that works, delete the OTHER versions of the driver (right click / delete) then rename that one (right click, rename) to remove the "copy xx) from it.

Known issue with USB printers.

Alternatively you CAN simply delete all and let windows redetect, but that will actually clutter up the registry more than it already is

F4100 cannot print, replace ink. Not printing test page.


In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or
poor ink cartridge contacts.

Can i know what is the application you are using to print from ? Like is it Microsoft word or Excel etc.
Also, let me know your PC model and Operating system please.

Can I use the 54 two cartridge package on the HP deskjet F4100 all-in-one series

Check bottom of the webpage where it lists compatible printers for the #54 cartrige pack.

The yellow light on the front of the printer is flashng and it will not print.


It shows that either of the cartridges needs to be replaced Try using it on the single cartridge if it works Generally deskjet printer works Or if it still blinks then try to press the resume button

$CartridgeName1$ means the ink cartridge is past expiration. Check the batch code on the cartridge and replace it.

After insertinf new cartridges when I print no


First check to make sure the protective film on the print head was removed from the cartridge.

Reinsert the cartridges and make sure the printer doesn't ask you if you replaced the cartridge. If it did and you didn't see this then the printer may think there are old cartridges in there and didn't reset the ink counter.

Lost my disk how do i install my hp deskjet F4100 series


A few days ago my HP Deskjet, 4100 Series, All In One printer just stopped working in the middle of printing. I got a new power cord/power pack and now the light comes on but there is no response when I try to print. It is as if the machine is not even turned on.

Can you please please help me to take empty ink cartiage out of hp printer 4100


When you open front door down, cartridges will center in front. Take a hold of top and bottom of cartridge and snap top towards you. It will release and come out.
Putting new one in, put bottom of cartridge in then snap top in.

I am not broken, but want to know if there is a way to make my Deskjet F4100 All=in=One Color printer only print in black so that I can save my color cartridges.


YES !! theres a way . . . go to "PROPERTIES" , on top tab go to "COLOR" , then check box where it says "PRINT ON GREYSCALE" , then check "BLACK CARTRIDGE ONLY"
