Hi

can you please try pressing the FNkey plus the F7 key both a the same time
or hold down the FN key and press the F7 key and leave for a few seconds to work

occasionaly the touchpad lock is a different key than F7 so please have a look at the top row of keys and look for a picture of a hand pointing and use that key along with the FN

hope this has helped you

many thanks

Keyboard unlock

Like most modern laptops, IBM/Lenovo laptops feature a built-in touchpad that you can use as a substitute for an external mouse device. If you experience a non-functional or "locked" touchpad, then you have one of two possible problems; either the touchpad's drivers are corrupt or a user has manually locked the touchpad. In either case, you can unlock your touchpad and restore it to functionality quickly.

Open your web browser and paste the following URL in the address bar:

Click the "Download" button and then click "I agree" to save the Lenovo touchpad driver installation file to your computer. Double-click the EXE file that you downloaded. Doing so opens the driver's installation wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-install your Lenovo's touchpad drivers. If your locked touchpad is due to a corrupt or outdated device driver, then your touchpad is now unlocked and functional. Activate Touchpad Hold the Windows logo key and press the R key to open a run command box. Type "control mouse" in the box and press Enter. The Mouse Properties control panel window opens. Click the "Device Settings" tab. Click the Lenovo Touchpad in the "Devices" list and click the "Enable" button to activate the Touchpad. Click the "OK" button to save your changes. Your Lenovo's touchpad is unlocked and ready for use. Lenovo support

Touchpad as stopped working

Are you sure you did not lock the touchpad?
Some laptops will have a button at the top of the touchpad in the middle that locks or unlocks the touchpad.

Some laptops provide a feature where you have to tap twice in the upper left hand corner of the touch pad to lock or unlock it.

Some laptops will require a keystroke to lock or unlock the touchpad. Normally you will have to Press and Hold the ALT or FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The correct key to hit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square which represents the touchpad.

Download and reinstall the drivers.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.

How can i unlock my mousepad to my hp prebook 4520s

Hi.

There should be a button to press just above the touchpad that has an LED light. When the touchpad is locked it will be orange. When its unlocked it should be blue. Find and press that button, that should unlock the touchpad.

Hi There,

Try Pressing the touchpad lock/unlock button
which you will find above the F10 key on the media bar to re-enable the touchpad.

How to unlock cursor

You can't lock or unlock a cursor. What you have is a problem with your touchpad. Some computers have a little switch (many times a button near the touchpad or a keystroke combo of the FN key + a special function key that turns the touchpad on or off.
See if you can find that combo--there should be a picture of a touchpad on one of the special function keys.
Othewise, you will have to use an external mouse.
