Question about Air Conditioners

Samsung Air Condition won't turn off

I can't turn off the air conditioner. The remote appears to work but not communicate with the air conditioner. The manual on / off switch has no effect. The only way to turn on and off is with the circuit breaker. When on, it appears to be stuck in turbo mode.

I have a Samsung air conditioner. I had put in new batteries and the remote seems to be fine except that nothing happens with the air conditioner. The manual on/off switch on the air condition does not work. I have only been able to turn off the air condition by flipping the circuit breaker. When the circuit breaker is on then the air conditioner lights show it is on in turbo mode (red light on) but doesn't actually work. We may have to try to find a repair man. I appreciate that you took the time to send a suggestion. Thank you.

Air conditioning unit is not responding to the remote

If you can't change the settings manually, then the control pad is bad. If you can and the remote won't change the temp or mode then the remote is bad and will need to be replaced.

I have a Panasonic split air conditioner with remote but the remote doesn't seem to communicate with the air conditioner, how can i operate the temperature manually?

Heya,

If you open the flap where the filters are on the right there is a emergency button. If you push it once it will put it on cooling at 20degs and push it twice 22degs heating.

Now fault finding,
Get yourself a camera with a LCD screen. Point the LCD screen at the pointer of the remote (it will look like a glass buble). Push a button on the romte and you should be able to see a infa red light on the lcd screen. If you cant the remote is faulty. But if you can you need a new receiver board on your panasonic, contact your panasonic warrrenty department to get someone out to look at it.

Hope this helps, anything else please let me know

Check if the remote control if still good, using the camera of your cellphone point remote control to the cellphone camera and press the "on" button of your remote and you can see the light emitting from your remote control transmitter. If the lights emits that means your remote control is good, if not means the remote control is defective. If the remote control still good try to press the RST or RESET button on your remote control and try. If wont works it means that the reciever board in the indoor unit is defective.

First turn the main power off to the unit at the breaker, wait about five min. and switch the breaker back on, then see if this solves the problem. In the instalation manual that came with the unit on the last page you will see a code of the red blinking light, this will tell you the most likely problem if not solved by switching the breaker on again.............Hope this helps
