Sim card problem

What's the problem with your sim card..As far as I know there are two possibilities to get this kind of error message.One is poor signal of that respective network for which you just need to switch OFF and ON your mobile and the mobile will be able to receive the signal from near by tower.You may also get this error message when you are trying to insert a sim other than which the mobile is locked to.To solve this problem you need to unlock the phone from that particular network or use the same sim to which the mobile is locked to.To unlock your Motorola phone purchase unlock code from any vendors online like

My sim card pin 2 blocked

Hi Prince,

If you forget the PIN 2 CODE of your Sim, follow the instructions below;

  • Call your cell phone operator customer care and get the PUK CODE 2 (pin unlocking code 2) for your simcard/Number
  • Now switch on your cell and type some wrong pin 2 code for 3 times continpusle... You can get can PIN LOCKED and it may ask for the PUK 2 code
  • Now keyin the PUK CODE 2, you got from your operator
  • Now it will ask you to set a new PIN 2 for your mobile, to be safe set PiN2 as 0000 or 1234, and this would be your new PIN.....
NOTE: If your operator doesnt support PIN2 services such as call barring, no other way , you have to get new sim card...

Can't use my pocket pc as a mobile phone

Hello Ric777, I would suspect the mainboard of your pda at first. But for the begining you should try to clean the contacts of your sim slot and check to see if all of them connect properly to the sim card. If all of them do connect properly, my second gues would be that the pda doesn't power on the sim card. Like memory cards sim's need to be powered first in order to work. Most pda that have this problem fail to initialise a sim because they can't suply the 3.3 or 2.7 volts needed due to a hardware mailfunction. However this test should be runned by a service center, they will have to dissasemble your pda in order to check these. In your case, you can make a hard reset and check the sim card pins in the pda. If this doesn't help, you will need service assistance. I'm sorry for not being able to help further. Good luck.
