this is for all wireless computers the only router available for 2 wireless laptop computers is" cradlepoint MBR1000"this is the only way to route 2 wireless computers bought it yesterday at best buy.........belkin, netgear ect...... routers only work with desktop, and wireless laptops.

I think i have the same problem...

So, my laptop has no problem connecting wirelessly to the router. The router doesn't get the internet connection from my modem though... If i plug the modem straight into my computer, it works; that's how i'm writing this message. When i put the modem into the router, though, the router recognizes that the modem is there, but the internet light does not turn on. I tried running a cable from the router to my computer, but that doesn't work either, so i don't think the wireless part is the problem, it's just that my router won't put the internet through.

i had the router for a good 9 months or so before it had this problem. i changed the RAM in my laptop shortly before this started to happen, could that have caused a problem?

Here is what did it for me:
I had restored the router to factory defaults when i was having my troubles. I downloaded the firmware update, or whatever it's called, from the Belkins website, and updated the router at the 192.168.2.1 place. i guess restoring to factory defaults had uninstalled the update. after this, everything has been working fine.

Connect to the internet via your normal modem then type in "192.68.2.1" into the web browser. This should take you to the wireless modem domain screen with all your info. Go to connection type, select wireless..etc. Then restart the router from this page in the lower left column. Once you do that take the ethernet cord from the back of the computer and plug it into the back of the wireless modem. There is a box at the top of the page on the right that starts off as not connected, but after you restart the router again or tweek some other things it should show green connected......Hope this makes sense.

How many lights should be on my westell model327w?

b2f0922.jpg
The Westell has several lights on the front that have various meanings

Power = When lit, this light indicates there's power to the router. It should be solid green.

Ethernet = When lit, this light indicates that the modem is communicating with your computer. This will be on only if you're using the Ethernet cable to connect the modem to your computer

Wireless = When lit, this light indicates that the wireless function of the Actiontec is working. This will only be lit if you're using the wireless function.

DSL = When lit, this light indicates the modem is speaking to the central office (phone company). When working, the light should be solid green.

Internet = When blinking, this light indicates that you're receiving information i.e., you're able to browse from site to site. This light will be blinking as you're receiving information.

Router not responding at all

Refer to the instruction booklet about how to re-initialize (re-set) the router. You will then have to re-enter all the setups.

If it does not re-initialize, then it is internaly defective.

Sprint aircard 595U to belkin router model no# F5D7230-4

Try connecting the sprint card to your router's internet port. You will need a usb-to-ethernet adaptor, along with a networking patch cable, to connect the sprint card to the router.

Then either connect to the router with your two computers using cables, or wireless. If using wireless, you will need wireless adaptors for each of your computers, preferrably Belkin brand to ensure compatibity.

Hooking Sprint aircard to Wireless Boroadband Router

You could do this, it would be a bit of work! You would have to dedicate the computer with the sprint card to provide the internet connection to your router, which would then supply all the other computers with internet.

Assuming you have windows XP or Vista on the machine with the sprint card you would enable Internet Connection Sharing, which would provide an internet connection into whatever is plugged into the ethernet port, your router.

Hope this helps!
