Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.

Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remotes", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Samsung Remote AH59-01778e not working

If it is a universal remote control, you have to set-it up once again, with the setup code to your device, after the battery replacement. If it is its original remote control, check whether the infrared emission from the remote control is OK or not. If you wish to get more information about how to check a remote control, and setup code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls (if the remote control is a universal one), try these links.

My remote's batteries fell out & it stopped working.

Check and make sure that the batteries are getting full contact on each end...often when an electronic device falls and actually forces the batteries out on impact, the contact points are spread apart and prevents full contact on both ends of the battery(s). You can lightly bend the contacts in the remote just slightly... Just enough to get a full contact. If it has springs then assume that there is already full contact there. Secondly if you think you have full contact with the batteries then the next thing is that it may have some internal damage to the remote. (which can be ALOT of different problems) This is a simple solution possibility..Otherwise try a new set of batteries. If its still a no-go then it will require a replacement unless you know how to fix circuit boards.
