Check eee-bay for completed listings on Bachmann sets
to give you an idea of what people are paying for them.
Also compare prices of the individual pieces, to see
if it would be more profitable to break up the set.

The batteries are located in the enginge (locomotive). They take 6 D sized batteries. At the very back there is a panel that you need to slide off to get to the battery compartment. Somtimes it may take a little manipulation to get the panel open.

SOURCE: transmitter power lite is on but no power seen at engine-

There are two switches at the rear of the engine. One turns the sound on and off and the other turns the power to the engine on and off. Make sure you have the power switch turned on. It should default to full forward with the transmitter off.

be sure it transmits on the same frequency there should be tags on the locomotive & transmitter identifying the frequency.

How is Bachmann's Blue Comet's locomotive powered. We were just given a set. The tender & each car take 1 9v battery but I know there must be more.

Want to sell my first generation Big Hauler G scale set. Pristine. In original box. Complete with extra track. How much is it worth?
The Generation 1 Locomotive, is of minimal value.

They go into the coal tender. Push and lift on the coal shoot for the boiler in the cab.
