Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P52 Digital Camera

1 Answer

DSC-P52 Memory? I want to buy some memory for my brother who has a Sony DSC-P52. I know it uses the Memory Stick but I'm confused about what type to buy: magic gate, duo, pro, etc. Is there any advantage to the Sony memory over the Sandisk? This would probably 128MB or 256MB size. Thanks in advance Rachel

I have an older DSC-P52 camera and am having trouble

Hi,

There is no reason why the MicroSD adapter shouldn't work in the camera providing the card adapter is the right size for the camera.

I myself use an adapter in my own camera and have no problems with it.

Regards.

Yes, other way is to format memory stick and format option is in Menu. Format will delete every thing on memory stick and refresh it for new pictures.

Hopefully it’s just a memory stick that has gone bad, do you have another memory stick to try? If it continues to format errors the stick “reader” inside the camera has been damaged.

Which memory stick ?

Several of the Sony cameras require a high speed memory stick for 640 x 480 30fps movies. Here is a clipping from the Sony P150 specifications: "MPEG VX Fine with Audio (640 x 480 at 30fps), (MPEG VX Fine requires Memory Stick PRO media)"
