Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
It might mostly be the charger that has gone bad or check inside the DC in plug on ur machine and see that its not broken if not its the charge control chip that has gone bad

First do not remove battery and use charger only. Lets start at the beginning first if you are using a UK three point plug check the fuse in the plug. Next some adaptors have a small green light on when connected to the mains. Another way to check the adaptor is, if you no someone with a multi meter (used to check voltages etc) get them to check if there is a reading from the end you plug into the computer should read 19volt. That would check your charging adaptor. Battery well if adaptor is charging then it is almost likely to be your battery.
If you have to replace the battery take it with you when you go for the replacement and ask them to check it in another laptop if they wont do this go elsewhere.
By what you say you have a fault with the adaptor.
