Re: DSC-P52 Flash problem

The 3 flashed is “Red Eye Reduction” the flashed caused the iris to close which lessen the reflection off the back of the eyeball. These days most computer software can remove Red Eye.
To turn off the 3 flashes you need to go in through the camera set-up. A side benefit from turning this off is that your batteries will last longer :o)

The flash won't work under any setting I find.

Try changing it to single picture mode, if cammera is in burst mode the falsh is forced off.

Can't take picture with flash on

Hi

Your flash is defective and needs to be replaced, nothing else will fix the problem.

One solution is to look online for a defective camera and use the parts to fix yours. Another is to buy a flash from someone like us who sells new and used parts and performs repairs if you can't do it yourself.

Please feel free to check us out, Google: Darntoothysam and you will find us, I cant post a link.

Thanks and good luck from Darntoothysam com

Activate flash

Here is the solution: Flash cannot be used in burst mode! You must set the camera to single shot mode!

This really surprised me, since in my old Konica Minolta the burst mode did not prevent flash, it just took a single picture if the flash was activated or multiple pictures when the flash was disabled.

The camera is probably is "Burst" mode where you hit the picture button and it contineously takes the picture. Hit menu and look to see if you have it set to burst mode if so take it off and it will work..I just found the answer on here :)

Sony DSC P52 won't flash Error Code is E:91:01 tried reset already

When you pressed the reset, if it cleared the time and date that button is working. If that did not clear the error it is a hardware fault, meaning that a circuit has failed and parts will have to be replaced.
A local camera store might be able to find the problem but you will have to carefully weigh whether these older camera is worth the cost of repair.
Sorry! I hate giving bad news.
