Sony DSC H-5 Camera battery problem and slow response time
I have a Sony DSC H-5 camera and bought brand new batteries (Energizer Rechargeables 2500mAh) and the battery life is very short (about 20 shots after it has been fully charged, the battery status on the screen is displayed as 'low' battery). Can anyone please help to solve this problem.
Also, the response time from when the time you press the button to take a shot it takes about 2 seconds to respond before the picture is taken. Any idea why this is the case? Please help...

Hi there please reset the camera 1st . THen pair your battery with your camera. Go in menu then battery type option. Select the type of a battery. After that save the setting. Now try . If you face the same problem then the camera internal power transformer are damaged or week. So you need to replace that transformer after that it will start work properly. You use that camera so long, that's why there is a chance of that damaged. Thanks if its helpful then rating me.
Digital cameras eat batteries so make sure you have ones that are up to the task. The lifetime of rechargeables is measured in mAh and you want around 2000 mAh batteries for the task. Have you tried the batteries in another device like a torch to make sure they are ok?
There is a diaphram between the shutter button and the shutter that does the focus. Pushing the button half way down pre-focuses and then the picture is instantanious. If the diaphram is broken it take a while before the shutter takes the picture. One of the AA batteries may be defective so try another set and see if that is better. There is also a slight possibility that the secondary battery (hidden within the camera) has gone bad.
I bought a SONY DSC-S750 3 months ago. Since last week, when i turn the
camera on, appears the message "for use with compatible battery only".
The battery came with the camera. The camera was bought in a big store
in Philadelphia. I WILL NEVER BUY A SONY CAMERA AGAIN. I already tried
to reset, tried to remove the battery and the problem persists.
try energizer lithium batts- some cameras very very strange about batterys-have a sony that will only work w/ sony or energizer lithium-bought all other types and they do not work-i get 300-500 pics per set of lithiums-good luck
