Make sure you have fresh gas in it. The gas we use today has alot of additives in it and can't sit long or it actally goes bad.

Make sure your fuel shut off valve is on, and if there were any previous work performed on your carburator check your idle adustment.

No spark in my 650 v-twin. Engine turns over and I only see 0.2 Volts

Check power at the CDI box. What year is the v-twin? Some are controlled with a crank sensor and earlier ones have a magneto type setup (one is off a flywheel the other is off the same setup that charges your battery) a quick test is not always by the voltage the coil puts out. some meters can't read fast enough so by the time is sees peak voltage is already is back to 0. Take your spark plug out. stick it back into the coil wire and put the base of it against the cylinder head where you can see the tip. Crank the motor over and watch for a bright blue/ white spark. Be carefull, it will give you a shock you never had before. I personally use a rag and hold it by the rubber boot on the end of the coil wire... It needs to be against the engine for any spark to happen too!

Why would a suzuki 4-wheeler not start. I have

Did you change the fuel filter? Is there a way to confirm that you're getting gasoline to the carburetor? If it fired once it should mean that you have spark to the plugs but there could also be a short in the kill switch circuitry that kills the ignition system. Pull a spark plug and put it in the spark plug wire socket, ground it against the motor and crank the engine and see if you're getting a good spark. Ensure that the air filter isn't dirty.

Do i need a certain wiring harness to put a winch on my arctic cat four wheeler or just the one that comes with the winch and that on the four wheeler it self

your artic cat may have a plug for your winch and again it may not. Call any artic cat dealer and tell them what you want to do. Have them recommend a winch that is compatable with your 4-wheeler and get a price that includes installation.

1988 Yamaha 4 wheeler slow crank

put jumper cables from battery to starter directly
to see if it turns over faster put red on starter lead and black on gorund(metal housing)

You may want to try this from a car battery to see if it spins faster if it does it indicates a problem with power from new battery check cables and lines for power blead

Wont run

Hey Chad,

The first thing I would do is a compression test. You say you have spark, but have you actually tested the strength of the spark ? A simple check to see if the spark is strong enough is to take the spark plug, hook it up to the spark plug wire, hand hold the shell portion of the plug roughly a 1\2 inch away from the cylinder head, and crank the engine over. If the spark jumps this gap, you have good spark. If it doesn't jump this gap, your ignition coil or stator coils maybe weak and not producing enough voltage for a good spark.

1996 bayou runs for short time ,keeps stalling out

Hello, I would start first, make sure ex pipe is open . Then I would check the pick up coil, ohms should be 390-590 on a 300 KLF. Do this test before u start the bike Then start the bike and when it quits running check the pick up coil ohms. If good move on to the coil, If good then I would say good chance CDI is bad I hope this helps
