Hi,

You can find all the drivers you need from HP's Download page for the DX6120 Micro Tower. I would guess the drivers you need are the chipset drivers, which can be found on the following pages (There are links to all the available drivers for that model #)

Windows XP Home

Windows XP Pro

Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit

Windows Vista Business 32bit

Please note that Vista pages do not have chipset drivers, as Vista should be able to install them on it's own.

Is a HP Pavilion MCP73M01H1 (Napa) the same as a Foxconn M7PMX-S?

oh wow. Why would the lady say such an ignorant thing with such conviction. This is just nonsense as we all know companies outsource all the time, precisely Retail driven, close to the end user companies like HP and Dell. PRODUCING is not the same as contracting out a set of mobos like the gentlemen correctly suspected of being the same as a foxconn model. I happen to have an HP with a foxconn mobo (and to the guru lady, it seems to also have Nvidia's signature, so really, what you see here, is Nvidia provides tech, Foxconn manpower and efficiency, and HP sales and marketing and the product sells, but suggesting HP which cant get to the phone to keep up support go out and actually manufacture their own mobos is the stuff of laziness).

To the gentleman asking, I have looked at the specs and your analysis seems to be right on. Here's another exact HP product (the one I own, given another HP special foxconn mobo name given the sheer volume of business these folks generate to foxconn. It does seem to get often confusing though and if I were you, and you seem to be quite familiar with hardware and the such, if you were to attempt a flash, make sure to backup first, that is the only harm you will cause to your computer, if you are not cautious even when you're certain. Here's the link to which I mentioned so many times:

Mobo is for a Compaq EvoD510. Drivers can be found at:

Here is the link to what I think is the correct manual (got it from another post on this mobo): http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D848PMB/English.pdf

HP MCP61PM-HM motherboard diagram

Hi RobPu,
I have searched everywhere. I even entered a chat windows with Compaq & asked for a site to download the manual for Compaq Presario SR5015LA Desktop PC which has the motherboard MCP61PM-HM in it. (Nothing). This board was made by
ECS known as EliteGroup. Still nothing. Forms for the most part do not help, only with drivers. Drivers for the board can be found on Compaq's web site.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3411762
But the manual will not download. That's what is needed to hook up the front panel pins to you're case. I even looked for other possible boards who's layout was close to the MCP61PM-HM.
Nothing! I did find other Compaq PC's that also had the same board in it but after looking through the manuals, not one actuallys shows where to plug the front panel LED's on to the board. Why? Because Compaq does not support a user changing out their case for another. There is no money in that.
For the most part RobPu, system boards share some things in common. I am posting a picture for you. This pic is upside down for you so try & work with me here. Hook up you're LED's as shown. This should work for you. Pin 1 is you're starting point.
daa3370.jpg This is standard for ECS boards even if it's being sold by Compaq. Like I mentioned, for you it is posted unside down.
Try it, I'm sure it will work for you.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post.
Suggestions & comments welcomed.
Mike

Where do all the leads go?

Hi there! I got given one of these MoBo's and, in a mad fit of generousity, told my daughter that I'd build her a PC for college using it! I found the MoBo tech reference guide on this page- http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&lang=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179911&taskId=115&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=96277 It's near the bottom of the page, with the text "Technical Reference Guide for Compaq Evo D300/D500 Personal Computers and W4000 Workstations Featuring Intel Pentium 4 Processors and the 845 Chipset" on the button! You will need page 6-11 for the Pin-Out details of the P5 connector. Hope that helps you out Wolfie

What manual...link available?

As far as the schematic for Compaq MoBo's good luck...I can't recall ever seeing a sheet for just a Compaq board, only systems. (I think that board was made be HP so maybe searching that way will yield results) You might get lucky here: http://www.eserviceinfo.com/ They have Compaq system schematics, maybe you can find one that uses that MoBo and has the info you need. Good Luck, El Duderino
