No sound speakers or headset driver install

Firstly check the volume is not low or muted on both windows and the speakers. In windows click the speaker icon in the bottom right of your screen, check the volume is turned up. Then click mixer or advanced and check that all volumes are turned up.
If using a laptop, check that the hotkey control for volume is on. You will see an audio icon on one of your ‘F’ keys, hold the Fn button located near the ctrl and press the volume function key.
Next open Device Manager from Control Panel and check there are no yellow exclamation marks on any drivers. If there are then you need a new driver.
If you are still having issues the sound card may be faulty, this is usually integrated into the motherboard. In a desktop PC you could buy a new PCI soundcard if you have a spare PCI slot in your machine.
You need to goto the manufacturers website, find their support section and there should be a list of drivers for your specific machine. Installing these should resolve your problem. I have a list of links to most manufacturers drivers on my website.
Hope this helps,

We have a Thinkpap T43 and have no sound coming out. We downloaded Skype and it said we have no sound card.

I will walk you through checking on your sound card.

Select the start button, control panel

Select Classic view if not default, Open Administrative Tools

Open Computer Management

Select Device Manager from the pane on the left

Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers

A) If there is a problem with your soundcard, there will be a yellow or red marking next to the device. Right click the problem device and select update driver. If the most recent driver is installed, right click again and select uninstall. Select next until the wizard is finished and reboot. Upon restarting you will the found new hardware wizard. Hit next with all the defaults, allowing microsofft to search for the most suitable driver for you. This will fix many problems with a soundcard.

B) If no device is present, you need to buy and install a sound card.

Sound problem

Hi thr,
If u r runnin Windows XP, Go to control panel. click on system->hardware->Device Manager n check to see if the sound drivers r installed properly. If the lists shows a yellow exclamation mark on PCI DEVICE, It means u need to install microsoft universal audio articeture drivers first. u can search for it on yahoo or any other searchengine to get the link. download and install microsoft uaa drivers, Uninstall the PCI device from device manager and re-install the audio drivers. I hope it works this way. Thank u

USB Audio Controller and Interface Won't Install on Dell 600m

This is generally caused by a driver conflict. Uninstall the sound drivers for the built in, then try to install the sound drivers for the RMX. If the hardware wizard finds and tries to install the drivers for both sound cards there may be a conflict, due to the drivers for the built in still being in the drivers cab file, then you will have to completely delete the driver file manually. Once you get the RMX drivers to load, you may have to create a seperate sound profile for the RMX, and switch to it manually when using it, in order to keep from creating a conflict between the two.

No,unless you want to upgrade your current soundcard i suggest continuing using your current one ..
Your problem is driver related, try installing your sound card drivers again .. if that doesn`t help you could uninstall your webcam drivers,it`s a software related problem so there`s no need for you to buy a new soundcard
