How good at math do you have to be to become an engineer?

It depends how you practice. Being that there are a lot of types of engineers i can't be super specific. I think math is taught incorrectly in most places. (To get a basic idea read the essay a mathaticiams lament, it's flawed but s good start). Reddit can also be a good source. r/math and r/learnmath

math is truth and we arrive at these truths through a serious of logical steps. Therefore I belive undersrand And become proficient in math. However the most of the joy comes from struggling with a problem. If you do not enjoy the struggle of solving problems engineering might not be for you. I hope I made sense??. Good luck.

When I type 12!/5!7! I'm getting 2.01180672e10. My answer is suppose to be 792. Please help.

Somehow you're calculating 12!/(5!/7!).

Press 1 2 MATH left-arrow 4 / 5 MATH left-arrow 4 / 7 MATH left-arrow 4 ENTER to calculate the desired value. Alternatively, you can press 1 2 MATH left-arrow 3 5 ENTER or 1 2 MATH left-arrow 3 7 ENTER to calculate the same thing.

I have a very strange math teacher that collects old math books. One day i asked him how many old math books he has.Being a math teacher, he responded, "if i divide the books into two unequal whole...

Your teacher has 64 old math books.
Define the variables:
n = the total number of books x + y = the number of books divided into two groups (x being one set of books and y the other)
Equation set-up from the problem:
64(x - y) = x^2 - y^2
Work it out:
64(x - y) = (x + y)(x - y)
64(x - y) = (x + y)(x - y) (x - y) (x - y)
64 = (x + y)
Therefore, 64 = n

64 bit version of Math Blaster

Sorry but there is no 64 bit version of Math Blaster. Luckely there is a way of playing this within a 64bit system. Please take a look at dosbox: http://www.dosbox.com/. If you install math blaster in this program, it will work.
A manual can be found here: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Basic_Setup_and_Installation_of_DosBox
