Dear babmat: just now got your question. We are very satisfied with our ARISTON Washing Machine. I trust that that is what you are inquired about? I had the same problem the first time. This locking occurs when one opens or tries to open the washing machine door too soon!!!! It has to be left alone for a few minutes. When I waited and later tried again to open the machine, I did not have a problem.
Just wanted to leave this note for anyone who encountered the same problem. You, yourself, hopefully, might have gotten that answer and the problem fixed in the meantime!?
