Problem for Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer

Canon MX310 Printer - Faxes being stored isntead of printing.

I have recently acquired the above printer and have set up faxing OK. The only problem I have is the faxes do not automatically print when I receive them I have to manually request them to print. Is there any way to resolve this.

Have checked the settings and this does not seem to help in any way.

When the machine is in one of the following situations, the fax is automatically stored in memory.

- If ink is low or has run out while receiving a fax
- If the paper size/type setting is incorrect
- If the paper has run out while receiving a fax
- If the Output Tray is closed
- If OFF is selected for AUTO PRINT RX
- If you pressed the Stop/Reset button to cancel printing of a fax

The most likely problem is that the ink is low.

You can change the settings to still print if the ink is low by pushing the fax button and then the menu button.

Scroll over until you get to RX settings (I think it is the 6th option) and push OK.

Choose the option to Auto Print RX, and press OK.

Make sure that On is selected and even if it already is the chosen option, press OK.

When the option appears to print with no ink, select yes. This will allow the fax to print even when the ink is low.
