    what is DMD????

  • mvick Sep 06, 2008

so would that mean that the dmd is bad or one of the fans, because with lookin at the back, inside on the top left theres a fan on the top of a silver box that fan works when first trying to turn set on but not the lamp fan or the exhaust fan. should all the fans work when turning on the set?

  • mvick Sep 06, 2008

would you suggest changing the lamp fan, if so where can i get one???

  • mvick Sep 08, 2008

i have put power to the exhaust fan and the lamp fan, both work. what supplies power to the fans, where is it located, and are the fans ran off seperate power sources? because the one fan on the top left works when turning the set on.

Its the Digital module which powers the ballast that has a fan as well as the lamp has a fan also. the 37 code means one of those fans arent working

37 is a code for the fan. The lamp fan has to start before the set will start. Its most likely related to a power supply for the fan .

I would check it for voltages first, cause if the voltage is there and then the fan would be defective, but if theres no voltage present then you would know its the power supply for the fan

Was watching TV, heard a slight "pop" noise then TV went dead - no picture or sound. When I hit the power "on" button on remote, the green light blinks for quite a while (around 40...

Count the number of blinks. Now, Google your make and model with the words blink codes added to the end. This will show you links to sites that will tell you what the blink code means and the problem with your set. The blink code is the sets way of telling the service man what is wrong. From the sound of it, you have a bad capacitor.

My Philips tv 60PL9200-37 has sound, but NO picture. The front blue light flashes 6 times slow,pause,5 times fast. Once in a blue moon picture and sound are ok. What could be wrong?

Hello,

When your television actually flashes the front blue light, it is passing a message that there is a problem inside the unit. There are 2 things you should check but my best bet is that it is the t-con board of the television that is bad. The other component you can check is the lamp, but if the lamp is faulty you will not be getting sound therefore the problem is from the t-con board.

It is located by the middle of the main panel of the television, once you get it replaced, the television will be in good shape.

Take care and good luck

WS-55819 TV, about 8 years old, stopped working. No picture, just black. When trying to turn on, power light appears for a couple seconds, then turns off. No other indications of life. My kids...

DO THE SELF CHECK YOUR SET HAS:

When you turn it on and power light goes off in a few seconds;

On the front of the set push and hold both the Menu and Input (Device) buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will then blink a two digit code, most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code at least 5 times.

Let me know what code you find and I will tell you what it means and maybe what is wrong with your tv.

I hope you find 2,2, as that is the most easy to fix.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Where do the yellow, red, and white cords connect to on my Proscan 37'' DVD/HDTV

it depends on what signal your sending to the tv.
red and white are usually sound and yellow is picture or AV.
you may need to select the input on your TV to recive a picture. Does this help?

Mitsubishi wd52525 shows error code 37

error code 37 is either the dmd fan or the lamp fan. you can see the dmd fan with the cover off. you cannot set the lamp fan as it is under the light engine. I guess the easiest thing to do is get a lamp fan 299P282010 and a dmd fan 299P283010 and change them both.
