Question about Computers & Internet

Recently purchased a palm tx (to replace the previous one that's lost). The sync cable that came with the handheld, does not seem to fit in to the handheld. The old sync cable does, but it does'nt seem like it connects (sync). This is the second time this has happened, and I replaced it. Help!!

You need to take the syn cable and pda to dealer and check if its for this model and then if not get the part number for cable for this model and then get it exchanged by the PDA company ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Good luck...

Ask Pagebor the rest of the solution, he is a real engineer and can tell you that the connector may be defective, and if the phone is warranty covered you can get it fixed free of charge.
Your phone has one year guaranty, go back to retailer and have it inspected.

It will be better if you ask your vendor to change the cable

I cannot get my Palm TX to sync. I did a soft reset and a hard reset and it still won't sync. Help!!

Hi,
I recently had about the same problem with mine. I am sending you a link to go to the Palm support for the TX. At the bottom of the page is a link for free chat support. I had the best experience with palm and hopefully you will too. Let me know if you need any other help. Best wishes.

Palm TX handheld

First you need to reset the TX:
hold the reset button on the back of the unit, then turn the power on. Hold the power button while releasing the reset button. The TX will power up to the screen where it will ask you if you want to reset it to factory default.
Afterwards go to this link,

http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=1568,E=0000000000263321976,K=3877,Sxi=4,case=obj(32859)

and download the Palm Desktop/Sync software and install it onto your PC. After installing the the Palm Destop software, connect the sync cable to the PC via the USB, then connect the cable to the TX and push the sync button.

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Palm TX travel charger problem

It is an issue with the slot on the device, however you can charge the device using the Sync cable, it is the safest way to charge the device.

Thank you in Advance!

I had the same problem with my TX.  When I moved, I lost the CD.  I think what you have to do is contact Palm to get a replacement CD.  It might be a small charge for it, but the drivers are on that CD and that will make it work.
Are you using Vista at all?

I had a similar same problem. It occured when pluging or unpluging in the USB cable into the bottom of the Palm TX when the other end of the cable was already pluged into a live USB port on my PC.
The solution was to make sure the cable is unpluged first from your PC before you plug or unplug the cable into the bottom of your Palm TX.

I would reinstall the system software from the Palm CD. If you are using the TX cable, it could be bad.

Palm TX not turn on

It may be a faulty charger. You may have checked this already, but here is the link to the palm website http://us.store.gc.palm.com/?cp=TX&i=1&t1=Chargers%2C+Cables+%26+Cradles&u1=cp&u2=t1
I have a palm TX as well I just hope its a bad charger and not the TX. Sometimes I my TX dosnt charge from the usb sync cable.
