I have a 2002 bmw 325i for months now the battery has been died on me even after fully charged. it may go a day running or 3 weeks running then die out of nowhere. it has brand new alternator, battery and relay system, took it to bmw 4 times and they cant diagnose the problem. there is a cricket like noise in the trunk area and when i push down on it it goes away. when the car doesnt crank at all after i turn the key the sound in the trunk goes off. i dont know whats goin on, neither do the experts. hmm

have a load test done on the battery as it may have sulphated up the plates and now will not hold a charge.. A long time stationary and short runs do help the situation.
SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED BOTH THE ALTERNATOR AND THE STARTER TESTED.THE CAR SHOULD STAY RUNNING OFF THE ALTERNATOR ONCE BOOSTED,IT SHOULD START OFF THE BATTERY WHEN FULLY CHARGED.
Humm ...Didn't die before the accident? now dies? BMW has good mechanics, but could not find any problem???. I gota think that it is related to the rear ending, but how? I would look for loose connections, Battery Ground that might have been removed before welding.Battery terminals, Any primary connections that may not be making 100% contact . It's worth a try.Good Luck
way round it maybe to just disconect it, or look for the fault probably a loose wire, or a bare wire rubbing of the metal work setting it of, best to fit a new 1
are you saying that you got this battery from autozone? I went thru three batteries in a week from autozone because the lot# was bad. It,'s quite possible that you have either a short that is draining the battery or that the alternator isnt charging properly. To do a fast check, start the car then remove the positive battery cable with the car running. If it stays running, theres a chance its ok. If it dies, It's most likely the alternator or the voltage regulator Diods. On most cars, the voltage regulator is built into the alternator. I would take it to autozone and have the charging system checked
take battery back get a new one or have it tested. like auto zone or a parts store even wal-mart now. If this battery was just dead and needed charged. Then sounds like to me you have a bad alternater. you can rely know if you can get the battery charged up and get the car to start. and while the car is running pull the positive connection of the battery if car dies bad alternater .
