My lexmark x1240 all-in-one will not print. It saves XPS files and when I go to open them it will not open them. I have already installed the XPS reader. Also, when I try to scan, a box pops up saying...

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/lgJCxt. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

Try to scan again to verify that the problem is fixed.

If the problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional assistance.

My canon IP 1880 problem paper jam but no paper ... pls help me ..

If a paper jammed inside the printer before experienced this error there might still be a small piece of paper that remains inside the printer, turn the printer off, open the Front Cover, and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the printer. After removing all paper, close the Front Cover and turn it back on. If you're sure that there is not even a smallest paper in the machine and you're getting this error, this might just be a glitch that can be fixed by a power reset. While the printer is ON unplug the power cable from either the back of the printer or the power outlet, leave it 20 to 30 seconds then plug it back. If the message still shows then that might already be a hardware issue. You can contact a Canon representative for additional troubleshooting. Technical support reps have special codes to reset their products to factory default should there be "glitch" issues like this. Once all the troubleshooting steps have been exhausted, that's when we can conclude it is a hardware issue that needs repair.

No power will not trun on

Hello

Plug in the printer power cord into electricity to charge the battery. The battery might need charging if the On light flashes green it indicates that the battery is charging.

Switch ON the printer, the battery charging icon (lightning bolt icon) flashes above the battery icon on the printer screen to indicate that the battery is charging.

If the battery is charged and the printer does not turn on with the battery power, unplug the printer power cord, if it is plugged in. Open the battery compartment and remove the battery. Wait for about 10 seconds, and then reinstall the battery.

An empty battery should fully charge in approximately four hours when the printer is not in use. If the battery still does not charge in 4 hours, you should replace it

Good luck
