I tried that already spent last night disassemblig the TV was careful but the wife is sure I will not be able to get it back together LOL, After alot of work I finally got to the PWR Cntrl Board and found the main fuse to be blown, checked the other fuses on the card seem to be good, I have a high end multimeter with a Capacitor Checker feature, checked some of the capacitors and got some high readings say for instance some were rate at 150 micro fereds and were reading like 500 or 600uF. I plan on replacing the fuse today, however I am sure the fuse blew for a reason, It was a little dirty in there cleaned it out with canned air... Well its 550am Hawaii time gotta go to work

I have the same problem with the WD-62525. Everything was working fine, turned if off, and when I went to power it back on NOTHING. I checked all the fuses, capacitors, cord, and still nothing. Any ideas?

Its very possible the pwr supply has an issue, if this is the case it also causes other problems on the
chassis. The problem can be fixed for about 500 dollars. If the chassis is sent back to the factory it could take 3months to get back.

Are there any lights indicating the Tv has power? Any relay click when you depress power button?? Try unplugging the unit for about one minute, then plug it back into power and attempt to power it up. Let me know.

I have a WD 62525 tv that will not turn on, completly dead no lights or sound. replaced the main fuse on power supply board what else could it be?

you might need to have voltage checking at this time. if their is a dc output voltages at the power supply board.if none the main board will not turn on.then probably their is bad component at the power supply board.

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

TV was working earlier, today came home no green power light no nothing

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.
